Prior to founding his company, Simon held the roll of Sales Director for the world-renowned Disney Institute and worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for 20 years. His strategies drove the acquisition of an Orlando-based healthcare system and catapulted a hospitality company to be ranked #1 in customer service on Expedia.com.
Simon emboldens individuals to impact the world by sharpening natural talents. Outside of his learning and development programs for organizations, Simon's consumer-facing Lynda.com courses powered by LinkedIn have been viewwed by more than 600,000 peopl in 100 countries.
When Simon is not working, he spends quality time with his two active teenagers, roots for the Buffalo Bills, and is an avid moviegoer. He believes his most important role is to be a great dad and to volunteer in serving the least, the last, and the lost men in society
James “J.R.” Gorham recently served as Director of Special Projects for the N.C. Department of Public Safety. In this leadership role, Gorham provided oversight to the N.C. Center for Safer Schools, and directed Department initiatives involving military affairs and suicide prevention. Previous roles at DPS include The Special Assistant to the Secretary of Public Safety, Executive Officer for the Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice and Commissioner of Juvenile Justice prior to the Division’s consolidation with Adult Correction in September 2013.
Gorham retired in September 2012 as brigadier general and assistant adjutant general for domestic operations with the North Carolina National Guard, capping a 38-year military career that included three years of active duty service in the U.S. Army. In his duties with the National Guard, he was the lead officer for outreach to state and local leaders. Additionally, Gorham spent 29 years in the banking industry, retiring in 2010 as a Vice President and manager of retail banking at First Citizens Bank. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from East Carolina University, and holds a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College.
General Gorham serves as an ordained minister with the St. Peter’s Church & World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He is a native of Falkland, N.C., lives in Kernersville, NC, with his wife and three children.

Cindy has called North Carolina home since 1993. Her background in education, art, science and technology have found convergence in the digital marketing field.
She enjoys working with entrepreneurs and leaders to position their messages in the marketplace for success. Cindy has been named “Jacksonville-Onslow Minority Business Female Entrepreneur of the Year” and “Small Business Person of the Year.” She is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce; Chairman of the Board of Directors for the local Arts Council and a member of Onslow Civic Affairs.
She is an engaging, motivational speaker who brings life and humor to audiences while sharing her passion for entrepreneurial leadership, business marketing and success with others. She has been a speaker at the Small Business Center, for nonprofit groups, faith-based groups and area schools. Cindy credits her successes to faith in God, a courageous sense of adventure, supportive family and a great team.
Tracey Jackson, PHR

Tracey has a unique ability to operationalize anything! She lives by a "You Touch it! Operationalize it!” motto. u-nex-o! unity excellence operationalized, her Consultant Company, was birthed out of Tracey's desire to share the sustainable systems (frameworks) she deployed while in corporate America to repeatedly build High Performance Teams and maintain continuous growth.
Tracey's corporate career afforded her the opportunity to work in several different industries, from not for profits, to big box retail, to museum, to healthcare, to city government, and pharmaceutical.
After a 12 year career with Verizon Wireless, as an Executive, Tracey transitioned from her corporate career to one of an entrepreneur. Tracey currently serves as the Chair of the Chambers newly created African American Business Council. She is the Vice President for the Wilmington Chapter of WIN (Women In Networking). She is a Board Member with Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM). She also attends New Beginning Christian Church where she oversees the Entrepreneurs Group and acts as the church's Business Consultant and Change Effectiveness Leader.
Tracey grew up in Leland NC and graduated from North Brunswick High School. Moving to Charlotte, she attended and graduated from UNC-Charlotte. She has two certifications. One being her Professional in Human Resources Certification and the other her Resilience Certification through Resilience Alliance. Tracey has lived in Charlotte, NC, Gainesville, GA, Huntsville, AL and Arrington, NJ.
Tracey currently resides in Leland, NC with her husband Rodney Jackson. The role Tracey is most proud of is being Mom to her two adult sons Kameron and Khyle Jackson.
Brian Kennedy is Chief Encourager and Champion Builder of Brian Kennedy Global, founded to help individuals and organizations worldwide achieve their maximum God given potential in their personal and professional lives. Following a successful career that includes counseling, sales and business management, turnaround management, consulting, and direct selling, Brian uses his skills to honor God by helping his clients perform at their potential for which they were created.
Brian brings knowledge, insights, and different perspectives from a career in which he mentored over 20 individuals in reaching their career goals, both corporate and entrepreneurial. While fulfilling several different roles, Brian also assisted more than 20 companies in seven industries achieve their objectives through the development of their most valuable resource, their people.
Brian's background includes corporate, small business turnaround, start up, and coaching experiences. Brian graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, SC where he earned his BA in history and competed as a member of the varsity basketball team. He later earned his M.Ed. in counseling degree while working full time as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. Brian believes in full participation in organizations as he has done with Sales & Marketing Executives International, Business Network International, his church, the local Chamber of Commerce, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and other organizations. Brian lives with his wife, author Shirley Neal Carter Kennedy, and splits time with family and work among Dallas, Texas, Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Southern California.
ELDER SIDONIA HARRISON WOODS
You might ask, “Can any good thing come out of Black Bottom?”…”Come and See” declares the Lord as He has called and chosen Elder Sidonia Woods to be His voice crying in the wilderness!
Elder Woods, a native of Enfield, NC, graduated from Southeast Halifax High School as Salutatorian of her class. Elder Woods matriculated to North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, where she received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Pulp and Paper Science and Technology. She is employed with Moen Incorporated and has held leadership positions in Planning, Supply Chain Logistics, New Product Development, and Quality Engineering. She is currently Focus Factory Manager and is a member of the Core Staff leadership team.
HER MOTIVATION…Her husband, Gregory Woods and their (4) children and (7) grandchildren. She enjoys traveling and endurance running.

Dawn Rochelle has worked as a community organizer since 1987 with a passion to see life different for children and families. Being born and raised in Eastern NC, Dawn understands the needs and the diversity of Onslow County and has chosen to remain in the area to give back to a community that has given so much to her. Building on the foundation as a 1983 Swansboro High School graduate, Dawn received an Associate in Arts Degree from Coastal Carolina Community College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in Speech Communication and a Master of Social Work Degree with an indirect concentration in children and family practice.
All of Dawn’s work over the last 31 years is focused to equip others to lead the best possible life. Dawn has served since 2001 as the Executive Director of the Onslow County Partnership for Children, which is an organization founded in 1998. Dawn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a small business owner of a wellness and consulting business, an Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team, and an active Rotarian as a Past President, current District 7730 Public Image Chair and will serve as the District Governor Nominee in 2020-21. Dawn is humbled to have received numerous awards in her career to include, the Jacksonville Onslow Chamber Woman of the Year.
Dawn believes her greatest success is her family and is proud to have celebrated 28 years of marriage in April with her husband Henry and to be Mom to their daughter Taylor, a recent graduate of NC State University in May.
Junie M. Christian was born on the Island of Antigua, in the British West Indies. He is a retired Veteran of America’s Army, serving twenty-four years before retirement in 1996. While in the army, he was granted citizenship in the United States of American and received numerous awards and honors for distinguished service, that included the desert shield and desert storm campaigns.
Beginning his civilian career, Junie served as the Director of Education for the Columbus Georgia Urban League, and then went on to serve as the first executive director of Columbus Family Connection – a nonprofit organization that fostered collaboration between 100+ community agencies to achieve positive community outcomes for children, youth and families. Additionally, while in Columbus, he began his broadcasting career as host of the television show – “Columbus Connection.”
Junie relocated to North Carolina and became the Servant Leader of the Onslow Women’s Center. During his tenure, he created a legacy major fundraiser - Dancing Stars of Jacksonville which raises awareness and over $350K for victims of interpersonal violence. Although he has left the agency, he continues to lend his voice, resources and energy to fight for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Junie’s focus today is J. Christian & Associates Consulting Firm. He is a leading voice for Leadership development and influence for individuals and institutions. He strongly believes that leaders should “Inspire, Rise and lift others.” His company helps hundreds of professionals enter, grow and lead in the work space. Junie is a sought-after John Maxwell certified Speaker, Trainer and Coach.
He and his best friend and wife Angela call Newport North Carolina home. Together, Junie and Angela have three daughters Shaloa, Shantae and Sherry and two granddaughters, Chloe and Bailey. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, racquetball.
